Observability Expert – Grafana

About the role

We are seeking an Observability Expert to join Nestlé Nespresso’s Digital & Tech team in Bangalore. The role focuses on building, operating and continuously improving enterprise‑wide observability platforms that provide end‑to‑end visibility across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, run and continuously improve the monitoring infrastructure.
• Design and implement new dashboards, alerts and metrics for applications, infrastructure and business services.
• Set up alerts, notifications and auto‑remediation to ensure stability of mission‑critical systems.
• Develop event‑driven automation based on monitoring events.
• Collaborate with application owners, platform teams and external partners to onboard services and troubleshoot telemetry pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in observability, monitoring, SRE or production operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience implementing and operating Grafana in complex enterprise environments.

Required skills

• Grafana dashboards, variables, transformations and data‑source configuration.
• Prometheus, PromQL and Grafana Mimir (managed Prometheus).
• Grafana Loki with LogQL and Grafana Tempo for distributed tracing.
• Grafana Alloy for telemetry collection and forwarding.
• Grafana Alerting, contact points, notification policies and routing.
• OpenTelemetry Collector architecture, OTLP ingestion/export, metrics, logs and traces.
• Linux, containers and Kubernetes.
• Major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, OCI or GCP.
• Integration with ITSM and DevOps tools like ServiceNow, Jira, PagerDuty or CI/CD pipelines.
• Ansible automation and scripting with Bash or Python.
