Nurse Supervisor

About the role

The Nurse Supervisor ensures seamless, safe, and efficient hospital operations around the clock by overseeing both clinical and non‑clinical activities during assigned shifts. Acting as the Manager on Duty (MOD), this role serves as the central authority for decision‑making, escalation, and coordination across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and oversee patient care quality.
• Act as Manager on Duty, handling escalation and coordination across units.
• Manage incident and emergency response, ensuring timely resolution.
• Address patient experience issues and grievances.
• Oversee staffing, workforce scheduling, and workforce management.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, NABH/JCI standards, and hospital policies.
• Supervise support services and maintain operational oversight.
• Prepare reports and manage escalation processes.

Required profile

• B.Sc Nursing or GNM with valid KNC registration.
• 8–12 years of nursing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory, ICU, or ER role.
• Experience in NABH/JCI accredited hospitals is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to make clinical decisions under pressure.
