About the role
Apollo Hospitals is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment. The role involves assisting nurses and doctors in delivering high‑quality care to sick, disabled, recovering or injured patients.
Key responsibilities
- Recording medical history and symptoms
- Administering medication and treatment
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for patient care
- Performing point‑of‑care tests
- Conducting nursing assessments
- Monitoring patient health
- Providing education and support to patients and families
- Maintaining inventory of supplies
- Delivering bedside care
- Operating and caring for medical equipment
- Attending regular in‑service education sessions
Required profile
- Graduate in GNM Nursing, BSc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing
- First division in 10th and 12th examinations
- 3 months to 5 years of experience in nursing
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Effective listening and team‑building abilities
- Good perceptual communication and coordination
- Initiative and moral support with a physical approach to patients
Required skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to operate medical equipment
- Medication administration
- Basic point‑of‑care testing
