Nurse Assistant (GNM/BSc/M.Sc Nursing)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Assistant to join Apollo Hospitals’ nursing team. The role involves providing direct patient care, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring accurate medical documentation in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical history, symptoms and vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medication and treatments safely.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Perform point‑of‑care tests and basic nursing assessments.
• Monitor patients’ health status and report changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post‑discharge care.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure bedside equipment is functional.
• Provide bedside care, including hygiene, mobility assistance and comfort measures.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment according to protocols.
• Participate in regular in‑service education and training sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate with GNM Nursing, BSc Nursing or MSc Nursing qualification.
• First division in 10th, 12th and nursing degree.
• 3 months to 5 years of experience in nursing or patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with initiative and coordination skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
