Nurse Assistant (GNM/BSc/MSc Nursing)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Assistant to join Apollo Hospitals’ nursing team. The role involves providing direct patient care, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring accurate documentation in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical history, symptoms and maintain accurate health records.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Perform point‑of‑care tests and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Monitor vital signs and overall patient health status.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medication usage and health maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure bedside equipment is functional.
• Provide bedside care, including hygiene, mobility assistance and comfort measures.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment according to hospital protocols.
• Participate in regular in‑service education and training sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate with 1st division in 10th, 12th and a GNM, BSc or MSc in Nursing.
• 3 months to 5 years of hands‑on nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for basic hospital information systems.
