New Product Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and semiconductor equipment, is seeking a New Product Manufacturing Engineer in Bangalore. The role will develop and release new product bills of materials, define manufacturing and test strategies, and support the introduction of complex modules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and release new product BOMs for complex modules and product structures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create manufacturing, test and sourcing strategies.
• Manage development and validation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for medium‑complex modules.
• Perform 3D solid‑model virtual analysis, including Master Layout (MLO) and Digital Mock‑Up (DMU).
• Lead change control processes such as NSRs, ECOs, CCB, SPS and ESW.
• Document product issues, conduct Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA) and drive long‑term corrective actions.

Required profile

• Intermediate knowledge of the New Product Manufacturing Engineer (NPME) role.
• Ability to work in clean‑room environments and use appropriate PPE.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in root‑cause analysis and corrective action planning.
