Network Security Engineer II

About the role

Manhattan is seeking a Network Security Engineer II to support, maintain, and improve the security of its on‑premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on operational security engineering, network security administration, incident response, and continuous risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events, alerts, and incidents, ensuring remediation aligns with SLA targets.
• Support and troubleshoot network security services such as remote‑access VPN, site‑to‑site IPsec tunnels, firewall policy changes, URL filtering, and access‑control workflows.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco security technologies including ISE, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
• Assist with security reviews of infrastructure and application changes, helping to identify corrective actions and maintain secure configurations across on‑premises and cloud platforms.
• Manage certificate, secret, and identity‑related security processes across enterprise platforms.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of hands‑on experience in network security engineering or operations.
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud security concepts and platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, and core network security principles.
• Experience troubleshooting IPsec and remote‑access VPN technologies.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewall administration.
• Remote‑access VPN and site‑to‑site IPsec VPN configuration.
• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Cisco Umbrella / Secure Access.
• Splunk or similar SIEM platform.
• Cisco Secure Cloud Analytics (XDR).
• Azure cloud network security.
• ServiceNow incident, request, and escalation handling.
