NDA Faculty – General Aptitude Instructor

About the role

The institution is seeking an experienced faculty member to deliver classroom sessions for the General Ability Test (GAT) of the UPSC NDA examination. The role involves comprehensive teaching, mentoring, and preparation support for candidates aspiring to join the National Defence Academy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom instruction covering English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Indian History, Geography, Polity, Economics, General Science, Defence Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Mental Ability.
• Develop structured lesson plans, study material, assignments, question banks, and mock tests aligned with the latest UPSC NDA syllabus.
• Organise and evaluate topic‑wise, sectional, and full‑length mock tests, providing detailed performance feedback.
• Support SSB preparation by delivering sessions on communication skills, personality development, leadership, teamwork, group discussion, interview techniques, and defence awareness.
• Mentor students individually, monitor progress, advise on exam strategy, time management, and address learning gaps with targeted plans.
• Continuously update curriculum materials, incorporate syllabus changes, and collaborate with fellow faculty to enhance teaching methods.
• Engage with parents through counselling sessions and assist admissions via seminars and career‑guidance events.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Arts, Science, Humanities, English, Political Science, History, Geography, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of post‑qualification teaching experience in NDA, CDS, AFCAT, or other defence examination coaching.
• Proven experience teaching General Aptitude for UPSC NDA; ex‑defence personnel with teaching experience are preferred.
