About the role

Furtados School of Music is seeking a passionate Music Educator to join its Hyderabad campus. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will deliver high‑quality music instruction to students of diverse ages and skill levels, fostering creativity and lifelong appreciation for music.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging lessons in music theory, instrument performance (piano, guitar, keyboard) and vocal techniques.
• Prepare students for examinations, recitals, and performances, providing regular feedback and assessments.
• Maintain classroom discipline and organize practice schedules.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to align with school events, recitals, and exam timelines.
• Utilize FSM Buddy and other educational technology tools to enhance learning and track progress.
• Promote an inclusive, encouraging environment that nurtures student growth.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and Music Education.
• Demonstrated performance skills, especially piano, plus at least one additional instrument or vocal specialization.
• Experience teaching music in schools, academies, or private settings with structured lesson planning.
• Relevant academic qualification (degree or diploma) in Music, Music Education, or related field; recognized certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with children and young adults using patient, motivating methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with parents, partners, and colleagues.
• Comfortable using educational technology platforms.
• Flexibility to align with school schedules, events, and examination timelines.
