Museum Assistant

About the role

The Wipro Story Project is creating its first museum and seeks a Museum Assistant to support both physical and digital exhibit development. Based at the Wipro Headquarters in Bangalore, you will work closely with the Archives and Museum Operations teams, handling visitor interactions and exhibit content.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write and edit label text and exhibit narratives for both permanent and temporary galleries.
• Collaborate with design and technology partners to bring interactive and digital experiences to life.
• Manage front‑desk operations, greet visitors, and serve as the primary point of contact for museum guests.
• Maintain the visitor booking calendar, schedule meetings, events and programmes.
• Coordinate facility needs and ensure museum spaces are well‑maintained.
• Develop resources to answer guest queries about museum policies and procedures.
• Support outreach and learning initiatives driven by the Wipro Story Project.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in liberal arts, humanities, museum studies or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a guest‑facing role within museums, archives, universities or corporate environments.
• Creative, collaborative, detail‑oriented with a passion for research and design.
