Molding Junior Engineer II

About the role

The Molding Junior Engineer II supports Jabil’s injection molding operations by developing, optimizing, and maintaining molding processes and equipment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure new products are introduced efficiently and existing processes run at peak quality.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and optimize injection molding parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
• Conduct mold trials, support new product introductions and perform process validation.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot molding machines, ancillary equipment, and molds.
• Collect and analyze process data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for molding processes.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis of molding defects and drive effective solutions.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and assist in training production personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience with injection molding in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic knowledge of plastic material properties and ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
