Modern Foreign Languages Teacher (Spanish & French)

About the role

The school is looking for an enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to deliver Spanish and French across all year groups. The role involves creating immersive, communicative lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while preparing students for Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE and A‑Level examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons using games, literature, film, music and real‑life communication tasks.
• Teach according to the Cambridge International Curriculum and ensure students are ready for checkpoint, IGCSE and A‑Level assessments.
• Design differentiated resources and internal assessments to meet varied proficiency levels.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and provide regular feedback.
• Integrate language‑learning technologies such as language apps, audio tools, Google Workspace and Padlet.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders to ensure a vertically aligned language pathway.
• Lead cultural events, language clubs, film screenings and exchange programmes to promote global awareness.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a passion for Spanish and French language education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo child‑protection screening.
• Ability to create an inclusive, joyful classroom environment.
• Strong organisational skills and capacity to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience using Padlet for collaborative learning.
• Familiarity with language‑learning apps and audio tools.
