MILO Range Instructor (Independent Consultant)

About the role

The MILO Range Instructor works as an independent consultant, delivering specialized training on computer‑based judgmental decision‑making simulation systems to law‑enforcement, military, government and international clients. The role involves extensive travel and requires both technical expertise and instructional adaptability.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain multiple simulators across various operating systems.
• Conduct multi‑day training sessions for diverse customer bases.
• Develop, update, and maintain core training curriculum.
• Perform quality assurance on vendor components and systems.
• Travel domestically and internationally (50‑75% of time) to support training operations.
• Collaborate with team members while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of different end‑users.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a training environment.
• Significant computer experience.
• Willingness to travel 50‑75% and qualify for a U.S. passport.
• Prior law‑enforcement or military experience is a plus.
• Experience with firearms is a plus.
• Motivated self‑starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
