Mid-level Software Engineer – FastAPI & Real-time Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a mid-level software engineer to help build the core platform of VYLN, a 60-minute fashion delivery service launching in Bangalore. You will work closely with a senior engineer, own production services and contribute to real-time logistics and AI-driven recommendation features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop FastAPI backend services for orders, catalogue, inventory, users and fulfillment.
• Implement real-time routing logic that selects warehouse or partner store fulfillment.
• Utilise Redis for inventory state, caching, sessions, rate limiting and geospatial matching.
• Build asynchronous workflows with RabbitMQ for dispatch, notifications, try-on rendering and future AI pipelines.
• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting to ensure reliability and timely order processing.
• Collaborate on infrastructure for recommendation systems and wardrobe intelligence as the product scales.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience with production-ready releases.
• Strong expertise in FastAPI or Flutter and ability to learn the rest of the stack quickly.
• Solid understanding of async systems, queues, caching and real-time state management.
• Experience with SQL databases and designing backend APIs.
• Proven debugging skills using logs, metrics and monitoring tools.
• Ownership mindset to ensure inventory accuracy and order integrity.
