Mid-Level Embedded Software Testing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Embedded Software Testing Engineer to join the Engineering Product Quality team at Bosch Home Comfort. The role focuses on testing embedded systems, preparing hardware setups, and ensuring product quality through systematic validation and verification.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system‑level testing.
• Debug and analyze issues in embedded systems, collaborating with developers to resolve them.
• Prepare, configure, and maintain hardware test benches and setups, using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
• Interface with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols such as Modbus, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Define and execute test strategies, drive defect logging, reporting, verification, and validation processes.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of experience in System Integration Testing for new product development.
• Strong background in IoT, embedded software, and firmware testing.
• Experience with large‑scale embedded project testing and validation.
• In‑depth knowledge of microprocessors and their peripherals.
• Proven ability to lead testing activities and drive project execution.

Required skills

• Embedded software testing, functional and regression testing.
• Hardware test bench setup, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters.
• Microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols (Modbus, UART, SPI, I2C).
• Test management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA and GitHub.
