Methods & Tools Engineer – Digital Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Methods & Tools Engineer to join Airbus India’s Engineering Methods & Tools team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing and delivering digital solutions that support core engineering verticals across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code and deploy robust web applications using React.js for the front‑end and Python, Node.js or .NET for back‑end services.
• Develop algorithms and data models that embed mechanical and aerospace engineering concepts such as finite‑element analysis.
• Build and maintain APIs, plugins and automation scripts to integrate proprietary engineering tools (e.g., HyperMesh, Abaqus, Nastran) with commercial software.
• Collaborate with core engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Refactor legacy engineering codebases to improve performance, maintainability and scalability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Engineering or a related STEM field, or a Computer Science degree with proven engineering‑software experience.
