MES Technician – Manufacturing Execution System Support

About the role

The MES Technician joins Nokia's MES team to provide hands‑on support for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications on the production floor. Working in rotational shifts, the technician ensures smooth manufacturing operations and helps meet customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for MES applications, collaborating with production and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MES login issues, transaction errors, and workflow problems.
• Monitor production data within MES to guarantee accuracy and traceability.
• Assist with MES configuration tasks such as work‑instruction setup and resource allocation.
• Maintain and support shop‑floor devices, including barcode scanners and industrial PCs.
• Perform system health checks, log monitoring, and routine maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to address MES‑related operational incidents.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree with 3–4 years of experience in MES application support within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in process‑improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Ability to work rotational shifts and support 24/7 production operations.

Required skills

• MES application support and troubleshooting.
• SQL for data verification and analysis.
• Experience with barcode scanners and industrial PCs.
• Basic networking concepts (IP connectivity, system communication).
• Use of incident‑management tools.
