Mergers and Acquisitions Manager – Technology in Deals

About the role

KPMG India is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to lead Technology in Deals engagements for corporate and private‑equity/venture‑capital clients. The role sits at the intersection of technology, M&A and business value, driving pre‑deal technology due diligence, AI assessment, separation/integration planning and post‑deal value realization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technology due diligence covering IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI and digital platforms.
• Identify risks, costs and synergy opportunities and produce executive‑ready reports.
• Design and manage Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), carve‑outs and integration workstreams from pre‑Day 1 to post‑Day 1.
• Conduct AI maturity assessments, evaluate compliance risks and uncover AI‑driven value creation levers.
• Facilitate workshops with CIOs/CTOs to define operating models, IT governance and synergy roadmaps.
• Mentor junior team members and balance sales/pre‑sales activities with delivery excellence.

Required profile

• 10+ years of technology‑functional experience in M&A contexts, preferably at a Big 4 or top‑tier consulting firm.
• Proven ability to engage CXO‑level stakeholders with strong communication and executive presence.
• Demonstrated track record in IT due diligence, TSA structuring, synergy identification and post‑deal integration.
• Experience assessing AI/automation, digital platforms and data ecosystems within deal contexts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
