Mercy Corps Niger Fellowship – Youth Leadership Internship

About the role

Mercy Corps Niger is launching a pilot cohort of six‑month fellowships aimed at recent graduates who want to develop professional skills and leadership in the humanitarian and development sectors. Fellows will work on real projects, receive individualized mentorship, and gain exposure to multiple functional areas.

Key responsibilities

• Support assigned functional teams (e.g., finance, business development, partnership, people & culture, supply chain, digital communications) in daily tasks and project deliverables.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis for donors and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives that promote local ownership and youth leadership.
• Collaborate with mentors and senior staff to identify learning opportunities and improve performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Fluent French and proficient in English.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Maximum of two years of cumulative professional experience.
• Under 30 years of age at the time of application.
• Only one application per candidate; multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
