Medical Officer

About the role

The Medical Officer will join a clinical team to provide comprehensive care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions. Working full‑time in a hospital setting, the role involves direct patient interaction, emergency response, and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of medical issues.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and deliver urgent care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies as needed, and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date medical records for each patient.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication use, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in health awareness programs and preventive healthcare initiatives.
• Assist in quality‑improvement projects and infection‑control activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
• 2–4 years of clinical experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and regulatory compliance.
