Medical Doctor – General Medicine (Full‑time)

About the role

The Medical Doctor will deliver comprehensive clinical care to patients at JSM Hospital. This full‑time, on‑site position involves managing both outpatient and inpatient cases while collaborating with specialist teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take detailed medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order, interpret and act on diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with laparoscopic surgery, gynecology and obstetrics specialists.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.
• Provide counseling to patients and families.
• Participate in clinical meetings, shift work and on‑call duties.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid medical license/registration.
• Clinical experience in general medicine.
• Exposure to laparoscopic surgery, gynecology or obstetrics care is an advantage.
• Strong patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment‑planning abilities.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Good communication skills for explaining medical information.
• Willingness to work shifts, emergency duty and pursue continuous professional development.
