Medical Coder Trainee (Freshers) – Chennai

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic freshers to join our medical coding team in Chennai. As a Medical Coder Trainee you will start your career by learning to translate clinical documentation into standardized codes across multiple specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical records.
• Review physician notes, lab reports, and imaging results for coding completeness.
• Collaborate with senior coders and auditors to ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA‑like standards.

Required profile

• Graduates or post‑graduates in life sciences, paramedical, or medical fields.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
