Mechanical Project Manager – ECU

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to lead ECU‑related projects within our Bangalore development centre. You will drive cross‑functional initiatives that reduce material costs, manage risks, and ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead material cost‑reduction programmes for defined product areas.
• Facilitate idea‑generation workshops with production, purchasing, hardware, and design teams.
• Perform quantitative risk management and present decisions to steering committees.
• Manage full project lifecycle: requirement analysis, scheduling, performance tracking, and corrective actions.
• Generate mechanical part lists (BOM), conduct DRBFM, and oversee quality assessments.
• Coordinate engineering change requests and support production ramp‑up.
• Engage with customers for technical coordination and issue resolution.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in mechanical project management, preferably in automotive or electronics domains.

Required skills

• DRBFM (Design Review Based on Failure Mode).
• 8D problem‑solving methodology.
• BOM generation and management.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
