Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. As a Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical) you will develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components and assemblies, working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate release of product improvements and new products, launch and implement engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements using DFx principles.
• Gather operational and test data, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective and continuous‑improvement actions.
• Manage the Engineering Change Request process from problem statement through implementation, mediating cross‑division issues.
• Train and coach ECO participants and advise on possible solutions.
• Participate in ECO project management meetings and may lead ECO CIB projects.
• Analyze part structures, conduct where‑used searches and assess impact of product changes.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ECR/ECO processes and PLM tools such as Teamcenter and SAP.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and UGNX.
• Understanding of lean principles, automation and continuous improvement.
• Experience with supplier manufacturing processes and cross‑functional collaboration.
