Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of all mechanical equipment in the plant. This role oversees predictive and preventive maintenance activities, supports shutdown planning, and drives continuous improvement while adhering to safety and budget guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance following all relevant policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with production, technology, and CES teams.
• Develop resourcing plans for routine maintenance and shutdown jobs, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Manage inventory control for mechanical spares, assist with procurement, and ensure timely availability of parts.
• Prepare maintenance cost and budgeting reports, analysing utilisation and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Supervise and execute maintenance tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Analyse equipment condition, track performance trends, and implement corrective actions to improve availability.
• Carry out preservation activities and manage shutdown execution according to schedule.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Proactive in staying updated with leading practices and trends in mechanical maintenance.
• Capable of supporting maintenance planning, resource allocation, and KPI monitoring.
• Effective coordination with production, technology, and procurement teams.
