Mechanical Engineer – Modular Enclosure Design

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of modular enclosures and small‑to‑medium scale buildings. The role focuses on creating detailed CAD models, sheet‑metal parts, and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor while collaborating with global project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs in CAD, including sheet‑metal parts, assemblies, and installation drawings.
• Produce complete project documentation: fabrication drawings, material submittals, BOMs, specifications, and marketing materials.
• Ensure designs comply with international, national, and company standards and best engineering practices.
• Participate in engineering meetings with equipment suppliers and internal teams across North America, EMEA, ANZ, and India.
• Initiate and manage RFIs, verify and approve supplier documentation, and support subcontractors during bidding and production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, site deployment, quality control, and commissioning engineers to resolve on‑site issues and support testing and FAT activities.
• Review and approve mechanical design documentation with the lead mechanical engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably with modular or enclosure projects.
• Ability to work in a multi‑regional environment and coordinate with diverse engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards and documentation processes.
