Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will apply a strong foundation in physics, mathematics and materials science to solve mechanical challenges, design custom tooling and support the handling, assembly and disassembly of components throughout the product life‑cycle. The role involves creating and modifying mechanical layouts, schematics and specifications while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering test reports.
• Develop, design or modify mechanical layouts, schematics or drawings for complex scopes.
• Perform engineering analysis of complex scopes with limited supervision.
• Lead or execute projects, develop key suppliers and generate mechanical product specifications.
• Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes.
• Specify and review engineering documentation and ensure adherence to standards.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components, identifying critical parts and subsystems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4‑7 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and Design for Excellence principles.
