About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to apply physics, mathematics and materials science expertise to solve mechanical problems, design custom tooling, and support the handling, assembly and disassembly of components throughout the product life cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Perform engineering analysis and troubleshoot moderate‑difficulty mechanical issues under general supervision.
- Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes.
- Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components, identifying sources for critical parts and subsystems.
- Generate engineering test reports and documentation for product releases.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with mechanical design, CAD software, GD&T, sheet‑metal design, and tooling/fixture design.
