Mechanical Design Engineer – Medium Voltage

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will support project execution by creating mechanical designs, detailed drawings, and bills of materials for medium‑voltage equipment. The role focuses on enabling efficient fabrication, assembly, and production processes within alfanar's engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Attend project launch meetings, review mechanical scope, requirements and constraints.
• Prepare job files according to departmental procedures.
• Review contractual, technical and specification documents related to mechanical design.
• Develop mechanical designs for enclosures, sheet‑metal parts, assemblies and supporting structures.
• Perform design calculations for strength, material selection and related engineering analyses.
• Generate detailed drawings and bills of materials to support fabrication and assembly.

Required profile

• Ability to develop mechanical designs, drawings and BOMs for medium‑voltage projects.
• Experience reviewing technical specifications and contractual documents.
• Capability to perform engineering calculations related to strength and material selection.
