Mechanical Design Engineer – Creo & Machine Design

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo to lead machine‑design and R&D projects from concept through to release. The role involves developing robust mechanical solutions, selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, and ensuring designs meet functional and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, from initial concept, calculations and simulations to final release.
• Select suitable materials, machining, fabrication and post‑processing operations for each design.
• Perform structural calculations and define loads, choosing appropriate OEM components such as linear guides, motors, gearboxes and bearings.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T specifications.
• Develop sheet‑metal parts and associated tooling, jigs and fixtures where required.
• Conduct structural analysis and validate designs against performance criteria.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, presenting designs and negotiating solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in machine design or R&D design using Creo.
• Strong knowledge of material selection, machining, fabrication and post‑processing techniques.
• Ability to perform calculations, structural analysis and select OEM components.
• Experience with sheet‑metal design and GD&T.
• Good presentation and negotiation skills.
• Background in the semiconductor industry or tool/jig design is an advantage.
