Materials Project Management Specialist

About the role

The Materials Project Management role supports the planning and execution of material requirements for semiconductor manufacturing projects. Reporting to senior leadership, the incumbent forecasts engineering, material and manufacturing needs, coordinates with suppliers, and ensures smooth transition of new products.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and provide input to outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Participate in the Materials Core Team, managing product development deliverables with buyers, planners, and production control.
• Support creation, release, and updates of new project material strategies and commercialization plans.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and conduct supplier risk assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost) and generate key process indicators (KPI).

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in materials engineering with expanding capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to daily tasks.
• Ability to solve straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex information in simple terms.
• Informal guidance to new team members without formal supervisory responsibilities.
