Material Procurement Planner

About the role

As a Material Procurement Planner at dsm-firmenich, you will ensure the reliable flow of raw materials required for production and customer demand. You will own end‑to‑end procurement planning, coordinate with suppliers, and collaborate across purchasing, logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement planning and execution, guaranteeing supplier punctuality and material availability.
• Define reorder quantities and frequencies, aligning raw‑material inventory with the overall supply‑chain strategy.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve delays, damages, shortages, and maintain high data quality.
• Drive continuous improvement by coordinating activities across purchasing, quality, logistics, procurement, suppliers, and warehouses.
• Maintain the supply plan (Buy & Transfer) to provide visibility of inbound and outbound flows.
• Address supplier non‑conformances and supply risks through root‑cause analysis, CAPA, and partnership strengthening.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Economics or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in procurement planning, supply chain, or materials management.
• Strong analytical mindset with ownership attitude.

• SAP ECC
• Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Power BI (advantage)
• Materials Replenishment Planning and MRP methodologies
• Inventory management and DDMRP principles
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification (preferred)
