Material Planning Lead – Supply Chain

About the role

We are looking for a senior Material Planning Lead to drive material availability and inventory optimisation for our state-of-the-art semiconductor foundry. The role will combine strategic supply-risk management with digital transformation to support high-mix, high-volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Convert forecasts and production plans into material requirements and replenishment schedules, ensuring alignment with customer demand.
• Proactively manage shortages, supply constraints and alternate sourcing strategies, including safety stocks and localisation.
• Optimise inventory levels, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and improve stock accuracy through policy enhancements.
• Lead digitalisation initiatives using SAP, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and analytics tools to create real-time dashboards and predictive planning models.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Finance to support NPI, S&OP and engineering changes.
• Coach and develop a team of Material Planners and Inventory Specialists, handling escalations for critical supply issues.
• Own material planning governance, KPI management and executive reporting on inventory, material readiness and supply risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent).
• 12–15 years of experience in material planning, supply chain or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience leading planning teams.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification preferred.
