Material Controller – Returnship (ExcelHer)

About the role

Join Volvo Group India's ExcelHer returnship program as a Material Controller. This 9‑month assignment offers professionals who have taken a career break the chance to re‑enter the workforce, work with next‑generation transport solutions and develop expertise in supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers to monitor daily deliveries, confirm orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Track inbound shipments, update delivery status in SAP and manage ASN/IDOC records.
• Monitor MRP alarms, adjust parameters for new parts and suppliers, and take corrective actions on deviations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, support JIT parts flow and coordinate with production planning to meet schedules.
• Escalate material shortages, communicate critical parts lists to internal stakeholders and collaborate with the Supplier Relationship Manager on risk mitigation.
• Run ERP reports to analyse material shortages and supplier performance, identifying process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Commerce or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in supply‑chain, material planning or logistics.
• Career break of at least one year (as the program targets returners).
