Material and Process – Standardization Engineer

About the role

The Standardization Engineer will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers, ensuring that mechanical and electrical standard parts are created, managed and documented correctly across Airbus programmes. You will work closely with European engineering teams and the Indian centre to guarantee consistent processes and high‑quality data.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage requests for standard parts in 3DX and Catia V5/V6.
• Administer CAD libraries and maintain mechanical and electrical standard part data.
• Handle incidents, assess, assign, validate and monitor process compliance within the design perimeter.
• Identify specialists, categorize issues and drive proactive solutions and knowledge sharing.
• Provide awareness and support for new or updated design procedures.
• Network with material sub‑domains, contribute to reviews and offer technical support to peers.
• Ensure effective communication between European entities and the Indian centre.
• Report on activities, achievements and lessons learned.

Required profile

• B.E / M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical engineering.
• 5‑8 years of experience in aerospace standardisation, materials or processes.
• Solid understanding of aircraft architecture, integration of electrical and mechanical systems, cabin and structure.
• Autonomous use of DMU/PDM tools such as Catia V5/V6, Trend, 3DX for A350/A320/A330 programmes.
• Awareness of electrical functional properties and tubing system installation.
• Experience with configuration management, definition dossiers and interface point management.
• Proven ability to coordinate large, multidisciplinary teams and manage supplier KPIs.
• Willingness to travel to Europe as required.
