Manufacturing Line Operator – Motor

About the role

As a Manufacturing Line Operator – Motor you will run and monitor production equipment for electric‑vehicle traction motors, covering winding, forming, welding, impregnation, rotor assembly, final assembly and end‑of‑line testing. You will follow standardized work, ensure safety and quality, and meet daily output targets.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all EHS rules, use PPE, perform LOTO, and attend safety briefings.
• Operate assigned stations – stator production (lamination, winding, laser welding, impregnation), rotor assembly (magnet loading, shaft insertion, balancing), final motor assembly, and end‑of‑line testing.
• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections using gauges, calipers, micrometers and torque tools; document data in MES/production sheets.
• Carry out autonomous maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication and simple checks; report abnormalities to maintenance.
• Meet daily production targets, respond to Andon calls and reduce downtime by following proper startup, changeover and shutdown procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, torque charts and work instructions.
• Experience operating production machinery and using precision measurement tools.

Required skills

• Operation of winding, forming, laser welding and impregnation equipment.
• Rotor assembly machinery handling and magnet polarity checks.
• Motor final assembly using torque tools, fixtures and jigs.
• End‑of‑line testing equipment (electrical performance, vibration, noise, insulation resistance, hipot, partial‑discharge).
• Use of gauges, calipers, micrometers and torque wrenches for inspection.
• MES/production data entry and basic autonomous maintenance.
