Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement of materials, supplies, machinery and services for its advanced manufacturing facilities in Bangalore. The role supports production teams by ensuring timely delivery of critical items and contributes to the company’s leadership in semiconductor and display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase and procure materials, supplies, equipment and services required for state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to monitor inventory levels and schedule deliveries.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost‑effective solutions.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procure‑to‑pay (P2P) process, including purchase orders and invoice validation.
• Support project and volume purchasing for production, especially for built‑to‑print and OEM commodities.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SAP MM and advanced Excel.
• Experience in global supply chain procurement, particularly in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Background in project or volume purchasing for production.
• Ability to manage P2P processes and negotiate with suppliers.
