Manufacturing Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain fabrication methods for semiconductor equipment. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to introduce product improvements, reduce costs, and ensure high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Define, validate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage configuration changes (ECR, ESW, NSR, CCR, SPS).
• Develop manufacturing methods, operating sequences and processes for parts, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies.
• Lead Design for Excellence (DFx) initiatives to improve manufacturability and reduce cost.
• Establish time standards, recommend tooling, fixtures and process requirements.
• Conduct test procedures, evaluate results, perform root‑cause analysis and Process FMEA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high‑tech environment.

Required skills

• Teamcenter and NX for product structure and change control.
• Configuration and change management (ECR, ESW, NSR, CCR, SPS).
• Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Design for Excellence (DFx) principles.
• Lean manufacturing, automation and continuous improvement methodologies.
