Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will develop and maintain methods, operating sequences and processes for fabricating parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. You will collaborate with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products while applying lean, automation and continuous‑improvement principles.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and related documentation.
• Review, prioritize and expedite Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through the implementation cycle.
• Coordinate ECO release, ensuring correct Bill of Materials structure, customer impact analysis and inclusion of appropriate Change Implementation Board members.
• Analyze part structures to determine scope and impact of product changes and conduct where‑used searches.
• Train and coach ECO participants, mediate conflicts and recommend solutions.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities in the ECO process and assist in KPI development.
• Participate in ECM awareness sessions and update corporate and material specification documents as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong conceptual knowledge and technical problem‑solving ability.
• Proven ability to write, track and validate ECO/ECR documentation.
• Understanding of product/system configurations and manufacturing methods.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office and related engineering software.

Required skills

• 3D modelling tools (UG, SolidWorks, Pro‑E, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• MS Office suite.
• Product Data Management (PDM) and Bill‑of‑Materials (BOM) management.
• Lean manufacturing principles.
• Safety procedures and cleanroom protocol knowledge.
