Manufacturing Engineer II Senior

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II Senior to develop and maintain fabrication methods for parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. The role works closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to release product improvements and new products while supporting the company’s semiconductor and advanced display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain all methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products.
• Apply basic engineering and Design for Excellence (DFx) principles to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly or system‑testing issues; perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and provide reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2‑4 years of related manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem‑solving.
• Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex information.
