Manager, Observational Health Data Analytics (Epidemiology)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager to lead its Observational Health Data Analytics (OHDA) team within Global Epidemiology in Hyderabad. The role focuses on designing and executing real‑world evidence studies using large‑scale healthcare data to answer scientific and business questions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with OHDA, Global Epidemiology and cross‑functional teams to advance observational research priorities.
• Lead the design and delivery of observational analyses for clinical characterization, population‑level effect estimation and patient‑level prediction.
• Develop study design documents, protocols and statistical analysis plans, and oversee analytical execution from start to finish.
• Execute complex analyses using standardized analytics tools and ensure reproducibility of results.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts, providing guidance on methodological approaches and best practices.
• Conduct methodological research, create standardized analytics tools and demonstrate their application to important clinical questions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an observational researcher with a track record of delivering high‑quality real‑world evidence studies.
• Ability to work independently, lead complex analytical projects and shape evidence‑generation strategies.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills to manage direct reports and guide junior analysts.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
