Manager – Legal Entity Controllers

About the role

The Manager – Legal Entity Controllers leads the design, implementation and oversight of financial control frameworks for assigned legal entities. This role works closely with country finance teams, the Group CFO, and risk committees to ensure accurate reporting, risk identification and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a Legal Entity Controller model, identifying balance‑sheet risks and presenting insights to the CFO and risk committees.
• Ensure integrity, accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger, detect inconsistencies, review variances and rectify accounting errors before month‑end close.
• Perform high‑quality reviews of IFRS financial statements and disclosures for external publication, preventing material misstatements.
• Collaborate with Country Finance and GCFO India teams to manage financial controls, periodic reconciliations and escalation of exceptions.
• Implement and monitor financial control policies, ensuring a robust control environment and compliance with SOX and other regulations.
• Identify and present financial and operational risks to senior management through risk forums such as FORTM, ERC, CORC and SRM.
• Support implementation of BSS Tool in ASPIRE, improve audit grades and drive process‑mapping initiatives using Aris.
• Lead talent development, succession planning and performance management for the controllership team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial control, reporting and risk management within a banking or large corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, SOX compliance and General Ledger processes.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional finance teams and senior stakeholders.
• Leadership experience with a focus on talent development and succession planning.
