Manager, Extended Workforce Operations

About the role

The Regional Lead for Extended Workforce is responsible for governing Applied Materials’ extended workforce program across the Bangalore region. This role ensures compliance, operational excellence, workforce agility and risk discipline while leading a high‑performing team supporting a fast‑growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a regional extended‑workforce operations team, establishing priorities, operating rhythms and accountability.
• Own end‑to‑end execution of the extended‑workforce lifecycle, including staff augmentation, independent contractors, vendors and service providers.
• Manage relationships with Managed Service Providers, VMS partners and workforce suppliers, monitoring SLAs and driving corrective actions.
• Serve as SAP Fieldglass subject‑matter expert and govern integrations with Workday, ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, worker classification standards and internal policies, leading regional risk‑mitigation efforts.
• Act as trusted advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on policies, tools and process documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including 5–7+ years in extended‑workforce management, HR operations or procurement.
• Proven people‑management experience with ability to lead and scale teams.
• Strong knowledge of contingent‑workforce models, vendor management and labor regulations.
• Experience in large, global, matrixed organizations.

• Alteryx or similar workforce reporting tools.
