Manager, Data Operations

About the role

Addepar is looking for a Manager, IBOR Operations in Pune to lead the team that ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR). The role oversees corporate actions, investment accounting, cash management, and performance valuation across multiple data feeds.

Key responsibilities

• Own operational integrity of IBOR positions, transactions, corporate actions, tax lot accuracy, trade static data, trade enrichment, and market claims.
• Lead and develop a Data Operations Lead and Analysts, setting priorities, quality standards, and performance expectations.
• Establish process controls and metrics for reconciliation break resolution, data quality, and SLA performance.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex trade lifecycle, corporate actions, and reconciliation issues, partnering with clients and custodial providers.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, prioritize tooling, and automate reconciliation.
• Drive cross‑functional initiatives on data strategy and new platform capabilities.
• Own hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and career development for the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years in investment/portfolio operations, middle office, custody, or trading operations with direct IBOR exposure.
• Background in asset management or sell‑side custody/fund administration.
• Strong knowledge of corporate actions processing, position/cash/trade reconciliation, and tax‑lot accounting.
• Understanding of the end‑to‑end trade lifecycle; trading qualification a plus.
• Experience managing and developing a team, including coaching through a Lead.
• Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• SQL for data analysis and investigation.
• Python for process automation and break investigation.
• Database management familiarity.
• Experience with IBOR or portfolio accounting platforms (e.g., SimCorp, Eagle, Aladdin, Charles River).
