Manager, Corporate & International Tax (CIT/TRS)

About the role

PwC is hiring a Manager in its Corporate and International Tax line of service in Bangalore. The role covers client management and business development, and independently handles advisory and compliance engagements on direct tax matters such as tax structuring, ongoing compliance and litigation support. It sits within a team of tax professionals who advise clients on tax planning, compliance and strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own client management and development, including business development initiatives, proposals and winning new engagements
• Independently manage advisory and compliance engagements on direct tax laws, including tax structuring, ongoing compliance and litigation support
• Analyse and interpret provisions of the Income Tax Act, international tax treaties and allied laws such as FEMA and the Companies Act
• Execute and manage assigned engagements, with strong project management and proactive issue resolution
• Maintain strong relationships with client senior management and C-suite executives
• Provide comprehensive solutions across INDT, TP, FEMA, corporate law and other areas, and share knowledge externally and internally
• Lead and coach the team, and deliver sessions at external forums, industry events and internal learning sessions

Required profile

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience
• CA qualification
• Additional professional qualifications or international tax certifications are an added advantage

• Direct tax and corporate tax (Income Tax and DTAA)
• Corporate law and international tax
• FEMA and transfer pricing
• Basic general knowledge of indirect tax and accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong leadership and networking skills
