Manager – Account to Report

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is looking for a senior finance professional to lead the Account to Report (A2R) function at its Global Services hub in Bangalore. The role will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with internal and external standards, and act as a trusted business partner across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting and daily operations for the A2R team, ensuring timely closing and execution of financials in line with the closing calendar and SLA commitments.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, internal audit, SOX requirements and J&J Credo, while driving operational excellence and internal controls.
• Manage a large, diverse accounting team across global service hubs, supporting auditors and legal authorities as needed.
• Develop talent through succession planning, performance management and mentorship, fostering a high‑performing, inclusive team.
• Champion continuous improvement, identify efficiency opportunities and drive automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; professional certifications (ACA, CPA, CMA, MBA) highly preferred.
• 10+ years of finance experience with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in a shared‑service centre or global A2R function of a multinational corporation.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
