Maintenance Technician – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping plant equipment running smoothly through routine inspections, preventive maintenance and rapid fault diagnosis. You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and HVAC systems, following safe work procedures to minimise production downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of machinery and plant assets.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and adjust plans to avoid disruptions.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, job reports and compliance documentation.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning and minor project work.
• Test, calibrate and verify instruments and control systems as required.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and raise purchase requests.
• Supervise external contractors to ensure work meets company standards.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and HVAC systems.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb and handling manual tasks.
• EPA technician certification (required).
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem‑solving approach.
