Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine inspections, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis across machinery, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing and structural elements. The role involves working from schematics, using test instruments and following safe systems of work to minimise production disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of plant and equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance according to scheduled plans.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and safely.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job reports.
• Assist with plant installation, commissioning and minor project works.
• Test and calibrate instruments and control systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and safe systems of work.
• Liaise with production teams to plan maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Manage spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests.
• Supervise external contractors to ensure work meets company standards.

Required profile

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• EPA technician certification.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical problem‑solving approach.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems.
• Experience operating snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools.
• Working knowledge of common tools, appliances and devices.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Proficiency with test instruments and calibration equipment.
