Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing Equipment

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and availability of manufacturing equipment and automation systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting failures, implementing preventive actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a high‑safety environment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation‑related equipment failures.
• Investigate recurring breakdowns and apply permanent corrective actions.
• Support Poka‑Yoke and error‑proofing projects.
• Work with PLC systems (Omron, Mitsubishi, Keyence) and safety control devices.
• Integrate PLCs with sensors, actuators, servo motors and related automation components.
• Develop and modify mechanical layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Manage spare‑part requirements, procurement, and inventory for assembly lines.
• Record maintenance data in ERP systems and maintain technical documentation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and monitor equipment performance metrics.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and update electrical, hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Strong analytical skills for downtime analysis and root‑cause investigation.
