Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant machinery and utilities at our facility in Mandideep. The role involves planning and executing preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, as well as supporting equipment installation, commissioning and improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and utility equipment issues.
• Monitor equipment performance to minimize breakdowns and production downtime.
• Maintain equipment history, maintenance schedules, checklists and breakdown reports.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/procurement for timely availability.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and servicing.
• Ensure compliance with EHS procedures, LOTO, work permits and PPE requirements.
• Support installation, commissioning, modification and improvement of plant equipment.
• Track maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR and downtime.
• Collaborate with Production, EHS, Stores and other departments for smooth plant operations.
• Lead and guide maintenance technicians and helpers as required.

Required profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in plant or industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance planning abilities.
• Knowledge of industrial safety, EHS and LOTO procedures.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, battery, recycling or similar industries is preferred.
• Good analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
